1. Information We Collect
PG Builders is a multi-tenant software-as-a-service (SaaS) platform designed for property, hostel, and rental management. We collect information from Property Owners, Managers, and authorized users who register for and use the Service. We also process information and records entered by such users regarding their properties, rooms, tenants, occupants, and related transactions.
A. Property Owner / Manager Information
- Personal Information: Full Name, Email Address, Contact Number, and business-related information provided by the user.
- Authentication Information: Basic Google account information and email address obtained through Google Sign-In or Google One Tap.
- Payment Information: Subscription details, invoices, and transaction records processed securely through Razorpay. We do not store credit card numbers, debit card numbers, CVV details, net banking credentials, or UPI PINs.
- Business Information: UPI ID and other payment-related details voluntarily provided by the owner.
B. Tenant Information (as entered by Owners/Managers or via Self-Registration)
- Personal Information: Full Name, Primary Contact Number, Alternate Contact Number, and Email Address.
- Identification Information: Aadhaar Number in text-only format, subject to the restrictions described in Section 2.
- Occupancy Information: Building name, floor number, room number, rent amount, electricity meter readings, joining date, and vacate date.
C. Tenant Family Member Information (Optional)
- Personal Information: Full Name, relationship with the tenant, contact number, and Aadhaar Number in text-only format.
D. Rent, Billing, and Payment Records
- Financial Information: Rent payment history, security deposit records, maintenance charges, electricity consumption records, calculated bills, receipts, and transaction status logs.
2. Aadhaar Storage & Document Restriction Policy
We implement reasonable technical and administrative safeguards regarding national identification information in accordance with applicable Indian laws.
No Document Uploads: The Service does not request, collect, process, upload, or store physical images, scanned copies, photocopies, PDFs, or biometric information related to Aadhaar Cards.
Aadhaar information, where voluntarily entered by users, is restricted to text-only numerical values (12-digit manual entry) and is maintained solely for record-keeping purposes. The Service does not verify or validate Aadhaar numbers against UIDAI databases or government systems.
Users are solely responsible for obtaining any necessary consent or authorization before entering Aadhaar information into the platform.
Do not attempt to upload images or scanned copies of identification documents to the Service.
3. Purpose of Processing & How We Use Your Information
We process personal information and tenant-related data for the following legitimate business purposes:
- Service Provision: To provide and maintain the SaaS platform, manage properties, rooms, occupants, and enable core system functionalities.
- Account Management: To authenticate users, maintain login sessions, manage subscriptions, and process payments through authorized payment partners.
- Communications and Notifications: To send transaction alerts, invoices, subscription renewal reminders, service-related notices, and customer support communications.
- Reporting and Data Exports: To generate and provide rent ledgers, tenant records, receipts, invoices, and downloadable reports in PDF, Excel, or CSV formats.
- Security and Fraud Prevention: To maintain platform security, detect unauthorized activities, and protect user accounts and stored information.
- Legal and Regulatory Compliance: To comply with applicable laws, regulations, court orders, and lawful requests from governmental authorities.
4. Third-Party Services and Data Processors
To provide and operate the Service, we rely on trusted third-party service providers. These entities may process limited information in accordance with their respective privacy policies and terms.
- Supabase (Database Infrastructure): Used for storing and managing application data, including owner accounts, tenant accounts, property records, rooms, and transaction-related information.
- Firebase (Hosting and Infrastructure): Used to host, deliver, and maintain the web application and related services.
- Razorpay (Payment Processing): Used for subscription payments, invoices, and recurring billing. We do not store credit card numbers, debit card numbers, CVV information, net banking credentials, or UPI PINs.
- Google Identity Services (Authentication): Used to facilitate owner and tenant authentication through Google Sign-In and related identity services.
5. Data Ownership and Export Rights
- Data Ownership: Property Owners retain ownership of the tenant, property, room, and payment information they enter into the Service.
- Data Portability: Subject to applicable laws and technical limitations, users may export their data through the platform. Available export formats may include PDF, Excel, and CSV files for reporting, record-keeping, and backup purposes.
6. Data Retention and Account Deletion
- Inactive Accounts: If a subscription expires or remains unpaid, the account may become inactive. To help prevent accidental data loss, we may retain account information and related records for up to one (1) year. Users may reactivate their accounts during this period. After prolonged inactivity, records may be deleted in accordance with our retention practices.
- Account Deletion Requests: Users may permanently delete their accounts through the platform. Upon confirmation of the deletion request, account information and associated records, including properties, rooms, tenant records, and transaction logs, are removed from our active systems. Such deletion is permanent and cannot be reversed.
7. Security Measures
- We implement reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards to protect personal information and stored records.
- Data transmitted between users and the Service is protected using industry-standard encryption technologies, including SSL/TLS.
- We may maintain backup, redundancy, and recovery mechanisms designed to help preserve system availability and reduce the risk of accidental data loss. However, the availability, frequency, and retention of such measures may vary from time to time.
- While we take reasonable steps to safeguard information, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage system can guarantee absolute security. Accordingly, we cannot guarantee complete protection against unauthorized access, cyber-attacks, data breaches, or service disruptions beyond our reasonable control.
8. User Permission and Consent Responsibility
The Service allows Property Owners, Managers, Tenants, and other authorized users to enter and manage information within the platform.
Users are responsible for ensuring that they have obtained any necessary consent, permissions, or lawful authority before providing personal information relating to themselves or other individuals.
The Service does not independently verify the accuracy, authenticity, or legal validity of information entered by users. Users remain responsible for the information they provide and maintain through the platform.
9. Aadhaar, UIDAI, and Government Disclaimer
- No Government Affiliation: The Service is a privately owned and operated software platform. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to the Government of India, the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI), or any ministry, state authority, or government agency.
- No Verification Services: The Service does not verify or validate Aadhaar numbers against UIDAI databases and does not connect to UIDAI APIs or government verification systems.
- User Responsibility: The accuracy, completeness, and authenticity of identity information entered into the platform remain the responsibility of the users providing such information.
10. Cookies and Similar Technologies
The Service uses cookies, authentication tokens, and similar technologies to provide and improve functionality.
These technologies may be used for:
- Session Management: To keep users signed in and maintain active sessions.
- Preferences: To remember user settings and preferences.
- Security: To help authenticate requests and protect the Service from unauthorized access and malicious activities.
Disabling cookies or similar technologies through browser settings may affect certain features and may prevent users from accessing or using parts of the Service properly.
11. Children's Privacy
The Service is intended for use by Property Owners, Managers, Tenants, and other authorized users. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children without appropriate authorization.
Information relating to minor occupants or family members may be entered into the platform by authorized users who are responsible for ensuring that they have the necessary consent, permission, or lawful authority to provide such information.
If we become aware that personal information has been collected in violation of applicable laws, we may take appropriate steps to remove or restrict such information.
12. Disclosure of Information
We do not sell, rent, or disclose personal information to third parties without proper authorization.
Information stored within the Service will not be shared with individuals, organizations, or private entities merely upon request.
